Summary: Autistic individuals often struggle communicating effectively, especially with people they don’t know. In crisis situations, they may be anxious about what is going on around them and not respond well to others, even those in authority. In this webinar, we will demonstrate how to best communicate with autistic individuals and keep them safe. Additionally, we will offer strategies for more effectively interviewing autistic individuals. We will also discuss elopement (wandering away from safety) and other unsafe behaviors.
