Professional Continuing Education Seminar Series


Join us for this workshop that is part of our intermediate to advanced-level workshop series for human services and behavioral healthcare professionals working in clinical, educational, medical, and rehabilitation settings.

Instructor: Edward Wang, Psy.D.

Event Description: This presentation will focus on practical knowledge and skills when treating culturally and linguistically diverse clients, and will explore how cultural concepts, values, beliefs and languages influence the perception and expression of mental distress, symptoms, as well as help seeking behavior of the individuals, their families and their communities. Dr. Wang will present a universal assessment and formulation framework and specific intervention techniques for clinicians in working effectively with culturally and linguistically unique populations.
CE Credits:
May Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. May Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Each seminar offers two (2) Continuing Education Credits for psychologists. We are a provider of LICSW and LMHC program. All programs are pending approval by the National Association of Social Workers (Massachusetts Chapter) and MaMHCA/MMCEP for two (2) continuing education contact/credit hours.
