Join us for this workshop that is part of our intermediate to advanced-level workshop series for human services and behavioral healthcare professionals working in clinical, educational, medical, and rehabilitation settings.

Event Description: The presentation will cover several of the more noteworthy cases of ethical violations by high profile Behavior Analysts and Psychologists over the past 40 years, including: Andrew Wakefield, MD, Stanley Milgram, Ph.D., Cyrl Burt, Ph.D., Douglas Biklen, Steven Breuning, Arnold Rincover, Matthew Israel and Johnny Matson. 

The discussion will focus on the underlying reinforcers responsible for evoking this class of behavior and what steps a practicing Behavior Analyst can take to avoid such missteps. In each case, the applicable standards of the BACB and APA Codes of Conduct will be discussed.  

CE CREDITS: May Institute is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) to grant Continuing Education Credits.  Each seminar will grant two (2) Continuing Education Credits for BCBA professionals.
