Behavior Support

Changes in personality and behavior are often a very challenging consequence of a brain injury or other neurobehavioral disorders.

Behavior expression can range from subtle changes such as inappropriate decision-making, to behavioral disinhibition, to physical or verbal aggression. These changes in behavior often present significant barriers to a child’s success in the world.

Children and adolescents with neurobehavioral disorders may have to learn, or relearn, skills that will help them manage different situations and reintegrate into different environments.

At the May Center School, we focus on building behavioral skills. Our expert behavior analysts (BCBAs) work closely with teachers to implement interventions based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). Core to our program is teaching positive alternatives to interfering behaviors. Our interventions are all research-based and data-driven.
