Through our Massachusetts clinic in Walpole, May Institute partners with the Boston Public Schools and Charter Schools to provide on-site services.
These services are provided primarily to underserved populations who may not otherwise have access to behavioral health services. Clinicians are assigned to an elementary, middle, or high school for a full academic year. They spend one or more days each week in the school, providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents in need.
While on-site, clinicians work closely with teachers, principals, student support services, and special education staff to help create and maintain learning environments that promote a student's academic, social, and emotional success. Clinicians also communicate and meet with family as needed, helping parents be effective advocates for their children.
