Ross Platts

Mr. Platts joined The Bay School team in 2016 as an Instructor and was later promoted to Senior Instructor and Teacher Trainee. In 2023, Mr. Platts transitioned to his current role as a Teacher in Classroom B. He works with elementary through high school-age students.

Mr. Platts is a dedicated teacher with experience supporting students with a wide range of educational and behavioral needs. He is well-versed in teaching students to independently utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and is skilled at providing systematic instruction across many academic areas. 

Mr. Platts received his BA in Sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He currently attends California State University, Monterey Bay where he is completing credential coursework to obtain his Preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Credential. Mr. Platts holds an Intern Education Specialist Instruction Credential (moderate/severe disabilities).
