Lisa Harrison, M.S.A.

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer


Lisa Harrison, M.S.A., serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer of May Institute. She joined the organization in October 2025 as Interim CFO. Lisa provides strategic leadership and oversight of May Institute’s financial operations, ensuring sound fiscal management that supports its mission and long-term sustainability and growth.

In her role, Lisa is responsible for financial stewardship, including general accounting, capital and operating budgeting, financial planning and reporting, and debt and treasury management. She also oversees the information technology and facilities departments. In addition, Lisa holds a joint appointment as CFO for the National Autism Center at May Institute, facilitating integrated financial leadership across all operations.

Lisa has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership, internal controls, and financial reporting for complex organizations. She is the founder of LMH Consulting, where she provided strategic consulting and interim CFO services to nonprofit organizations, helping them strengthen financial systems, governance, and operational efficiency. Previously, she spent a decade at The Home for Little Wanderers. Her career also includes roles at Henkel/National Starch & Chemical, VISA International, and Gap Inc., specializing in general accounting, global consolidation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and systems improvement.

Lisa holds a master’s degree in Accountancy from Bentley University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clark University, with additional studies at the London School of Economics. Read her press release here.
