Laura Noland, M.Ed., BCBA
Director of Community Engagement and Development, The Bay School, a May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities

2009 Trustees’ Fund Awardee.

Ms. Noland is the Director of Community Engagement and Development at The Bay School (TBS) in Santa Cruz, Calif. The Bay School is a state-certified nonpublic, nonprofit school serving children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities, ages 5 through 21. It is one of May Institute’s four May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
 
Ms. Noland joined The Bay School team in 2003, and has held numerous positions within the organization, including Instructor, Senior Instructor, Special Education Teacher, and Director of Education and Clinical Services. She became the Director of Community Engagement and Development in 2021. In her current position, Ms. Noland focuses on marketing and communications, expanding the program’s fundraising and philanthropy efforts, building new community partnerships, and researching new opportunities to expand services provided to the community.

Ms. Noland graduated from California State Monterey with a Master of Education degree. She completed her BCBA coursework through the University of North Texas, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and has a moderate/severe special education credential.
 
Ms. Noland is a member of the California Association for Behavior Analysis (CalABA).
