Johnathon Meza
Teacher


Mr. Meza joined The Bay School team in 2015 as an Instructor. He became a Senior Instructor in 2016 and later transitioned to Teacher Trainee where he gained experience developing IEPs, designing treatment procedures, and managing a classroom. In August 2021, Mr. Meza stepped into his current role of Special Education Teacher where he supports high school and transition-aged students.

Mr. Meza received his BA in History at UC Santa Cruz with the intention of teaching at a public high school. However, after working at The Bay School he quickly realized his passion and drive lay in educating students with disabilities. Mr. Meza enjoys teaching essential life skills that help our students lead independent and fulfilling lives. 

Mr. Meza currently attends California State University, Monterey Bay where he is in the process of completing coursework to obtain his MA in Special Education. Mr. Meza holds a moderate/severe education specialist instruction credential.

Mr. Meza attended and completed his credential coursework at California State University, Monterey Bay. He holds a Preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Credential (moderate/severe disabilities).
