Daniel J. Sullivan, MSPA

Vice President, Adult Services


Dan is currently May Institute’s Vice President of Adult Services, responsible for adult, residential, and day services on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts. He holds a Master of Science in Public Affairs (MSPA) degree from the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. In addition, he has bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Westfield State University in Westfield, Mass.

Dan’s previous work experience includes working for nonprofit organizations in the fields of child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health. From 2010 to 2012, he served as May Institute’s Director of Quality Improvement.

Prior to returning to the May in May of 2024, Dan was the Vice President of Quality and Community Services for Lifeworks, where he led a team that provided a wide array of supports to individuals and families with intellectual/developmental disabilities, including autism.

Dan is an Administrative Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). He conducts surveys of organizations seeking to receive accreditation from CARF.
