Dr. Anderson began her career in the human services field in 2014, working in early intervention clinics and at private day and residential schools. She joined May Institute in 2024 as an Assistant Clinical Director, and was promoted to Clinical Director in 2025. She is responsible for overseeing the clinical services across the North Shore and Revere.
She earned a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2019, and a Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis in 2025, both from Western New England University.
Dr. Anderson’s experience and research have focused on the assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior, verbal behavior, and conditioned reinforcement.
A member of the Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT), the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA), she has presented at these organizations’ conferences on topics ranging from conditioned reinforcement to the matching law.
Dr. Anderson’s professional passions include staff and parent training, as well as helping the individuals we serve access the community, engage in leisure/fitness skills, and tolerate/access medical care.
