Andrew Nuzzolilli, Ph.D., BCBA, LABA

Dr. Nuzzolilli has worked with individuals with exceptional needs across the lifespan since 2012.

He joined May Institute’s Adult Services in Western Massachusetts in 2023 as an Assistant Clinical Director. In September 2024, he took the role of Clinical Director. 

Dr. Nuzzolilli received his doctorate in Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in 2023. He received his master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in 2017. 

While he pursued his master’s degree, Dr. Nuzzolilli worked at the New England Center for Children in a residential program for the treatment of severe challenging behavior. After graduation, he accepted a doctoral fellowship from Western New England University for basic and translational research. His work on reinforcement schedule transitions was awarded a grant in 2018 by the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis.

He was awarded a Central Reach Autism and IDD care award in 2022 while providing home-based and school consulting services for supervisory excellence.

Dr. Nuzzolilli has co-authored three peer-reviewed publications on the philosophy of behavior analysis and translational work on token schedules of reinforcement.

His current research interests include novel applications of assent-based treatment, improving the efficacy of therapeutic pairing and universal supports, and adaptation of social skills curricula to diverse populations.
