Behavioral Specialist
School and Home-based Behavioral Services
Atlanta, Ga.

Beth McTiernan transferred to the Atlanta office after working in the May Center school in Randolph, Mass., for approximately six months. Beth has been a pleasure to work with and has made a profound impact on the families we serve as well as on the staff with whom she works. The following are some excerpts from the senior staff who have nominated her:

“I wanted to nominate Beth McTiernan for the Trustees' Award. I have worked with Beth on a particularly difficult case. Beth, though, has always remained positive. She has worked tirelessly, despite the lack of significant progress. Through the entire process, Beth maintained a positive and reinforcing relationship with the client and a professional rapport with the parents and other caregivers. Beth has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty, always doing whatever was asked, and always finding a way to give a little more. Her commitment to May Institute clients has been an inspiration and bright spot in my daily work with Beth. She often reminds me why we are offering services, and it is to make a difference, no matter how small, on a daily basis, in our clients’ and families’ lives.”

“She is always punctual, very responsible and professional. Always returning phone calls, following up with families, and dedicated.”

“Beth’s treatment integrity is impeccable and flexibility for each child’s learning style is irreplaceable. She is always willing to volunteer for activities for May Institute away from the working day. She is definitely a model therapist!!!”
