Elisa DeOlim
2015 Trustees' Fund Award Recipient

Program Coordinator
May Center for Adult Services
Cape Cod and Southeastern Mass.

I have worked closely with Elisa for just under two years, and she is extremely deserving of this award. As a Program Coordinator, she is organized, efficient, and exhibits true job integrity. Most importantly, she works hard at her job for the right reason: she cares about the happiness and well-being of the individuals we serve. Elisa has gone above and beyond in her position many times over the past year.

My first example is when there was a vacant position at one of our programs in Bridgewater. Elisa stepped in and helped to manage staff and financial responsibilities for two programs consistently, accurately, and in a timely manner. She even stepped up to help train the incoming Program Coordinator, all while attending community college and teaching dance.

Secondly, Elisa is an exceptional employee because she has created and maintained a fun, fulfilling, and active lifestyle for the individuals who live in her program in Bridgewater. She is always coming up with new activities/outings for “the guys” to take part in. I’m not referring to going bowling weekly; I’m referring to going to Red Sox games, Six Flags, the Boston Aquarium, Canobie Lake Park, Celtics games, and the circus. Most recently, she walked with her program in The Autism Speaks Walk in Mansfield, Mass. — that’s certainly “going the extra mile”!

Elisa has earned this award for her fantastic work; not just because she puts her smarts, skill and focus into what she does, but, because she puts her heart into it.
