Direct Behavior Therapist
Home and School Consultation
Eastern Massachusetts

Margery demonstrates exceptional dedication to the families she works with every day. As a Direct Behavior Therapist, she provides ABA-based services to children diagnosed with autism and behavioral disorders in their homes and in the community. The children she works with often exhibit serious problem behaviors, resulting in crisis and police involvement.

Margery frequently works late, past regular hours, to provide support and coaching during times of need. She will frequently accompany families to medical appointments, ensuring that children receive necessary medical care they might not be able to obtain without additional support.

As a bilingual therapist, Margery is able to work with many families that are not able to access typical therapeutic services. She is thoughtful, kind, and respectful when working with families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her involvement with families often goes beyond providing ABA services. For example, she assists them in finding resources (e.g., respite and financial support) that may help eliminate barriers to making progress.

Margery has also shown a great deal of enthusiasm for the field of behavioral intervention. She is planning to pursue a graduate degree in the field of psychology, and has presented some of her work at the Institute’s conference on Positive Behavior Supports.
