[Read press release here.]

During her time with the May Center School, Roba has drastically improved student exposure and access to technology. She provides ongoing training and consultation to teachers, supporting their use of technology in the classroom.

She has worked closely with Philanthropy to solidify grant money that has been used to bring interactive white boards, virtual reality systems, augmented reality systems, and 3D printers to the school that have improved student engagement and curiosity. With these technologies, she has developed vocational programs that will support students in the fast-growing field of technology, social groups that expose students to concepts related to computer science, computer engineering, and Internet safety, as well as robotics coding classes.

Roba is constantly on the lookout for new and emerging technological trends in the field of special education and is dedicated to bringing those experiences to our students.

In addition to her work as the Educational Technology Teacher, Roba is an active member of May Institute’s Diversity and Inclusion Council and its Women’s Inclusion Network Sub-Committee. She is an asset to the organization and we’re lucky to have her!
