Employee Spotlight Award Winner, Spring 2016!
Rachel Kolb is the Program Director for the May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder serving families from Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C., and surrounding areas.

Rachel’s staff collaborated to write a glowing nomination detailing why Rachel should be considered for the Employee Spotlight award. Overwhelmingly, they credit her with transforming the N.C. office during a challenging transition period. Rachel led her team with transparency, confidence and creativity, actively listening to the individual needs of her team members and making the necessary changes to increase the productivity and morale of her office.

Rachel’s employees admire her dedication, knowledge, and passion for her work and for them! It is this ability to teach, lead, motivate, mentor, and inspire that has earned Rachel an Employee Spotlight Award.

“I am so grateful to have received the Employee Spotlight Award. While working at May Institute, I have had the privilege of working with the most amazing people who truly come to work every day because they care about what they do and are dedicated to providing effective evidence-based services to the incredible children that we serve. Winning this award is such an honor and is a reflection of the positivity and caring that exemplifies the everyday actions of those that nominated me.”

Hired in September 2010 as a Behavioral Specialist, Rachel was credentialed as a Behavior Analyst in December 2010, and promoted to Program Director in July 2014.
