Molly McGinnis

Program Director
May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Washington, DC

The Employee Recognition & Appreciation committee congratulates Molly McGinnis for being selected for an Employee Spotlight Award in the Fall of 2015! The award recognizes the exceptional contributions of May employees. Winners are nominated by their colleagues, managers, and supervisors from across the organization.

Molly McGinnis is the Program Director for the May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Washington, DC. However, since February of 2015, when the May Center for ASD in Tennessee unexpectedly found itself without a Program Director, Molly graciously stepped in to serve a dual role for both offices—frequently traveling hundreds of miles between the two offices, even temporarily relocating to Tennessee during this prolonged and unexpected transition!

Molly’s nominator describes her as a dedicated and compassionate leader with a strong clinical and business acumen, and credits her with the ability to adjust her management style as needed to provide the appropriate level of support to each of the staff reporting to her.

When asked what the agency and the Employee Spotlight Award means to her, Molly replied, “I feel extremely honored to have received the Employee Spotlight Award. I have appreciated the many opportunities that I have had during my time at May Institute to bring ABA (applied behavior analysis) services to military and non-military families. I most appreciate the staff in the offices that I have had the privilege to work with, for their dedication to the important service that we provide.”
