Jacqueline Cook, 2013 Trustees’ Fund Awardee
Program Coordinator
May Center for Adult Services
Mashpee, Mass.
[Read press release here.]
Jacqueline has proven herself to be a tremendous employee in both day and residential services. For 10 years, she worked as a lead staff at our Mashpee Day Habilitation Center, consistently creating a positive atmosphere for staff and individuals alike.
Her energy and dedication to applied behavior analysis have carried over into her new role as a Residential Program Coordinator. She has done
particularly well in assisting with the transition of a new resident, training her staff to consistently and appropriately handle behavioral issues.
Jacqueline has ensured that the house is also a home that provides a warm, inviting feeling to the individuals living there. Her positive attitude has done wonders for staff morale as they have dealt with a plethora of struggles.
Jacqueline has led by example, maintaining a professional and pro-active stance, never complaining, and always excelling at solving problems. She could absolutely serve as a role model, not only for her May colleagues, but also for direct care professionals everywhere.
