Christina Hardy

Clinical Supervisor
May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Jacksonville, N.C.

Employee Spotlight Award Winner, Autumn 2016

Christina Hardy began her career with the May Institute in May, 2011 as a Pre-Doctoral Intern in the May Center for School Consultation services at Randolph, Mass. After finishing her internship in 2012, she transferred to the May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder in Jacksonville, N.C., where she worked as a Clinician before being promoted to Clinical Supervisor two years ago.

In her new leadership role, Christina is a pivotal member of the leadership team at the May Center. Her supervisor describes her as her “other half – a clinician and leader with a wealth of knowledge and an amazing skill for training others.”

Another colleague stated that the “passion, dedication and resourcefulness Christina exudes in her work are exemplary as they are infectious! Whether Christina is working with clients, talking with parents, leading a training exercise, writing a treatment plan or creating program materials—she is never just completing a job or task. She is living out her passion by working as hard as she could to help change the lives of the individuals we serve and their families…it is a joy and an honor to work with Christina and to be inspired by her every day.”

“I feel honored and very grateful to receive the Employee Spotlight Award! As the clinical supervisor for my office, witnessing the progress our clients make along with the dedication of the families we serve, inspires me to continue to strive for excellence!

However, the quality of services provided by our office would not be possible without the dedicated clinicians and direct staff who commit themselves to understanding and implementing evidence-based procedures individually adapted to meet the needs of our clients. With the support of these staff, our office is able to provide so many opportunities for our clients outside of direct therapy sessions, including social skills groups and community festivals! The clinicians that are part of this team are truly shaping the futures for many children and changing the lives of the families we work so hard to serve!”
