Program Coordinator - Residential Services
May Center School for Brain Injury and Related Disorders, Brockton, Mass.

Ana is an exceptional employee in the residential department of our May Center School for Brain Injury and Related Disorders in Brockton, Mass.

She began as a direct care staff in Residential Services in June of 2008, and was an immediate asset to the team. From the start, Ana demonstrated a dedication to this field and to the students in her care. Due to her proven abilities that include communicating efficiently, solving problems independently, and providing comprehensive services to the students, Ana was promoted to Senior Residential Teacher in April of 2011.

In this position, Ana developed her leadership skills and style. She worked together with her Program Coordinator to maintain organization, safety, and fun in the residence. In February 2012, she was promoted to Program Coordinator. She has excelled in all of her responsibilities including interviewing and hiring a Senior Residential Teacher, training new and current staff, conducting annual evaluations, managing the residence’s budget, and coordinating the many details of the students’ care and services.

Ana applies her positive energy and compassion to every aspect of her job. As a result of her hard work, the Holbrook residence is one of the best organized, happiest, and therapeutic houses we have in our department. I have no doubt that Ana will continue to grow with her career at May Institute. She is very deserving of recognition through a Trustees’ Award.
