[Read press release here.]

Yves “Laure” Joseph has been employed with May Institute since February of 2013. She started out in the Assistant Program Coordinator position at a residence in Randolph and was promoted to Program Coordinator (PC) in 2015.

Laure oversees a medical program, which can be a challenge. Laurie ensures that all appointments and follow up appointments are maintained, and she does this consistently. Laure also does a great job getting the individuals out into the community so they can enjoy activities that are meaningful to them. The individuals enjoy going to Boston Red Sox games, Boston Celtics games, day trips to New Hampshire, Maine, Cape Cod, and Rhode Island. Two of the individuals are older and need full assistance when out in the community.

Laure initiated and continues to organize monthly activities at the Randolph Day Habilitation center for the programs on the South Shore. She organizes different activities every month which occur in the evening. The activities include bingo night, arts and crafts, movie night, “mocktail” hour, cooking group, and different holiday-themed dances. These events are always a big hit.

Laure is also always willing to help other programs in a pinch and is a good asset when there are new PCs in the area. She is willing to help train them and provide assistance as needed. She deserves special recognition for her exceptional service.
