Faytonia Love has received a Trustees' Fund Award from May Institute's Board of Trustees. The award is given annually to a select group of employees who are nominated by their peers and supervisors. This year's recipients were honored at a ceremony at the organization's corporate offices in Randolph, Mass. What follows is an excerpt from Fay's nomination:
Faytonia has demonstrated excellent work performance as an Assistant Program Manager at one of our residences at the May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders.
Fay has worked in the Brockton program for over a decade and has consistently been a positive influence on the students and the staff members she supervises. She remains positive even in the toughest of times. Fay always goes above and beyond by helping those who need her most. For example, she will often volunteer to take students to appointments or to and from the airport for home visits. Similarly, it’s not unusual for her to go to the residence on her days off or communicate with staff over the phone if any issues arise.
Fay also does a great job handling concerns from parents, and she always remains calm during crisis situations. Fay cheerfully and effectively accepts responsibility for the individuals she serves and the situations she encounters. Her can-do attitude has earned her the respect of her peers, colleagues, supervisors, and families.
Fay is a very deserving recipient of a Trustees’ Fund Award.
