[Read press release here.]

Julie Hopper has received a Trustees' Fund Award from May Institute's Board of Trustees. The award is given annually to a select group of employees who are nominated by their peers and supervisors. This year's recipients were honored at a ceremony at the organization's corporate offices in Randolph, Mass. What follows is an excerpt from Julie's nomination:

Julie excemplifies the “excellence in service, training, and research” that May Institute employees strive for as they work to carry out our organization’s mission.

As a southeastern Massachusetts Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Julie steps outside her role on a daily basis to ensure our employees also strive to reach the high standards set forth in our policies and procedures. Julie’s can-do approach promotes a sense of community and team. She approaches challenges in a consistent, fair, and professional manner.

Training is a priority for Julie. She is always searching and advocating for opportunities to better support our team through education and training. As busy as her job keeps her, she always manages to find the time to organize employee forums, meetings, and trainings that result in a collaborative effort and higher quality of support for our staff members.

Julie’s efforts to promote our diversity program is second to none. She welcomes and values differing opinions in discussions, and models respectful workplace expectations. Each and every day Julie works “to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect".

She is very deserving of a Trustees’ Fund Award.
