Sarah Enright

Employee Spotlight Award Winner, Spring 2016!
Sarah Enright is the Program Supervisor for the Specialty Services Program, part of the Consulting Division in Western Massachusetts.

Sarah began her career with May Institute more than 20 years ago as a home-based Therapist. Over the years, she has held progressive roles of responsibility, including Senior Therapist and Program Coordinator.

Sarah’s colleagues and staff members overwhelmingly nominated her for the Employee Spotlight Award. They describe her as a compassionate, dedicated, and optimistic leader who makes herself available 24/7 to her staff and the children and families served. Sarah’s direct reports state that she not only acknowledges and appreciates their work, but encourages and supports them as well—ensuring they get the hours they need when families cancel sessions; identifying and addressing issues quickly; and following up on concerns raised by them and/or the families served.

Providing critical support, role modeling how to engage a young child, and providing constructive criticism in a positive and supportive manner are just a few of the many wonderful examples of leadership Sarah’s staff shared. Most importantly perhaps, Sarah’s employees overwhelmingly credit her for making them better therapists and better employees!

“I feel privileged to be part of an organization that helps change the lives of so many children and families. I love to see children work hard and achieve their goals. It is truly amazing to see children progress and even the smallest accomplishments mean so much. I also have the opportunity to work daily with the most dedicated and caring group of people.  I am grateful to be part of such an outstanding team…”
