Employee Spotlight Award Winner, Fall 2017

Dr. Andrea Gold is the Executive Director of The Bay School (TBS) in Santa Cruz, Calif. The Bay School is a state-certified nonpublic, nonprofit school program serving children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities, ages 5 through 21. It is one of May Institute’s four May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in the U.S.

Dr. Gold has been working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities for 20 years. She received a master’s degree in Clinical and Behavioral Applications in Mental Health Settings from Queens College and a Ph.D. in Learning Processes from the Graduate Center City University of New York.

Since moving to California in 2006, she has been an active member of the California Association for Behavior Analysis (CalABA), serving on the CalABA Board of Directors and the CalABA Conference Committee. In addition, Dr. Gold is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and the California Association of Private Special Education Schools (CAPSES).
