May Institute’s Southeast Regional Autism Centers offer support to military families who are seeking access to autism services and are stationed at Fort Benning, Camp Lejeune, Fort Hood, and other bases across the South and Southeast. These centers are located in Columbus, Georgia; Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Killeen, Texas. In the Northeast, we offer services to military families through the Northeast Regional Autism Center located in Randolph, Mass.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our newest center— the May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders— in Clarksville, Tenn. Opened in September of 2010, the Center is dedicated to serving military families families at Fort Campbell (Kentucky/Tennessee) and surrounding areas.
As one of the nation’s largest employers of BCaBAs and BCBAs, we are committed to making our services accessible to military families who have children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). All May Institute services are based on applied behavior analysis (ABA), the only treatment reimbursed by TRICARE’s ECHO program and the Autism Demonstration Project for military families with children with ASD.
“As many as 12,000 children in military families may have autism and their condition is made extremely difficult by the frequent changes of residences, schools, and other variables that accompany military life.”
