May Institute

ASD Screening & Assessment

Early diagnosis and intervention during the first years of a child’s life can significantly impact that child’s long-term prognosis, particularly in the areas of language and social behavior.

May Institute offers diagnostic assessment services to individuals ages 18 months to 21 years who are suspected of having an ASD or other developmental disability. Assessments are conducted and/or supervised by a licensed child psychologist, using standardized test measures designed to assist in accurate diagnosis and to evaluate developmental, cognitive, and behavioral functioning. This includes use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).

These services are available through our Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Clinic in Randolph, Mass., (a program of May Institute and the National Autism Center).

May Institute also offers autism screenings for families who are concerned that their child may have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These screenings are available at the ASD Clinic in Randolph, Mass., and the Southeast Regional Autism Center in Columbus, Ga.
