Accessing TRICARE – Support for Families as They Navigate the System

At the May Centers for Autism Spectrum Disorders, we are committed to helping military families through the application process and helping them obtain the diagnostic and therapeutic services they need for their children.

Our caring and competent staff members have extensive experience guiding families through the application process and helping them obtain the diagnostic and therapeutic services they need for their children.

After a child receives an ASD diagnosis, he or she is eligible to receive $36,000 per fiscal year for ABA services. ABA uses effective interventions to increase skills and appropriate behaviors and decrease inappropriate behaviors. It is the only treatment for ASD reimbursed by TRICARE.

We have helped many families navigate the process necessary to obtain critical services in several ways.

We encourage families to contact us for information about local resources. We are happy to provide assistance in finding qualified physicians or clinicians for an assessment/diagnosis. We are also able to provide assistance as families work with their assigned case manager to access their TRICARE benefit.
