Day Schools

The May Center for Education and Neurorehabilitation makes progress possible, even for children with the most difficult learning and neurological challenges. Our day school services are based on each student’s strengths, needs, and preferences and include:

Educational Services

  • Comprehensive educational and clinical evaluations
  • Year-round extended day school program
  • Small classrooms with high student-to-staff ratio
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives
Behavioral Services
  • Pre- and post-doctoral-level clinicians trained in applied behavior analysis
  • Data-based decision making
  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)

Medical, Therapeutic, and Counseling Services

  • Direct and collaborative physical and occupational therapy; speech and language pathology
  • Vision, brace, audiology, and psychiatry clinics
  • Collaborative consultation services provided by physicians and other professionals from major teaching hospitals and universities
  • Consulting psychiatrist, social worker, and specially trained nurses
  • Individual and group counseling
Transitional Services
  • Individual and group career counseling
  • Internal and community-based job and life skills training
  • Supported employment
Family Services
  • Family consultation and training
  • Regularly scheduled family forums
  • Coordination with outside resources and agencies
