Marcie W. Handler, Ph.D.
Director of School-wide Interventions
Marcie W. Handler, Ph.D., is Director of School-wide Interventions at May Institute. She has provided behavioral consultation in the areas of system-wide, classroom and individual positive behavior support practices for 15 years with school personnel, parents, and psychologists. She also has expertise in the areas of applied behavioral analysis and childhood behavior disorders.
Dr. Handler is a licensed psychologist and a certified health provider. She is a supervisor for May Institute's pre-doctoral internship program and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Handler earned her Ph.D. in school psychology from Lehigh University. During her doctoral training, she was awarded both teaching and research assistantships. In addition to workshops for school personnel and parents, Dr. Handler has provided numerous presentations at national and local conferences, authored articles, and written a book chapter. Her peer-reviewed articles have appeared in School Psychology Review, Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, and The Behavior Analyst Today.
