Deidre L. Donaldson, Ph.D.
Director, Pediatric Psychology

As Director of Pediatric Psychology, Deidre L. Donaldson, Ph.D., is responsible for the development of pediatric psychology programs and training at the May Institute. Dr. Donaldson also serves as the Director of the Center for Children and Families at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. She provides clinical services as a pediatric psychologist at Saint Anne's and at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Dr. Donaldson completed an internship in psychology at Children's Hospital (Boston)/Harvard Medical School and was a psychology Fellow at Brown University Medical School. A licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, she is on the board of trustees for Southeastern Massachusetts Psychological Association, and a member of the American Psychological Association, APA Division of Pediatric Psychology, APA Division Clinical Child Psychology, Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy, Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the Rhode Island Psychological Association.

Dr. Donaldson received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green University. She conducts research in areas of adolescent suicide, stress and coping, and child behavioral medicine. Her research has been published in The American Journal of Orthopsychiatry and in Child Psychiatry and Human Development.
